Fine Arts at the Fair

This year the kids entered the Clark County Fair to earn some ribbons. They were pretty excited, the kids in our valley love to enter items because they all get ribbons no matter what. Some are lucky enough to win bigger ribbons such as Judges Choice, 1st, 2nd, and so on. Isaah entered two pictures, one that he drew and another one that he did in artclass at Kaufman last year. Madi decieded she wanted to make a cake and decorate it. She had alot of fun and was very proud of her cake. Madi and I helped iron all the ribbons for the fine arts part of the fair. So for her it was even more rewarding to know she put in the time helping and then she also recieved. We (my sister helped some) spent about 8 hrs ironing and organizing the ribbons and Madi was there with me for all but about 2 hrs. I couldn't believe her devotion. I couldn't have done it with her help. Each child that entered recieved either a small blue or red participation ribbon and then a larger lime grean ribbon. I think it really motivates the kids to work hard and want to do it again next year.
