Chad had some time off for vacation and we headed up to Joe's Valley Resevior in UT, (which is by castle dale or price)for some camping fun. My parents took their trailer and four wheelers up and Jody and her husband Colby brought there fourwheelers. We took our boat and our raft expecting sunny skies and great water. Well, we arrived after a very long drive and we were pretty excited to get out and enjoy. The kids couldn't wait to go 4wheeling and they had alot of fun on those. Finding and hiding geocaches and exploring the trails around. We didn't get to boat very much, every afternoon it rained so by time it warmed up it would start to rain. One day we had really good water for alittle bit though.
We headed up the road to a little fishing spot that I used to fish at when I was a kid called Potter's Pond. We caught fish left and right and the kids had so much fun. Through all the rain our tents held up really well, only one out of 3 had blankets get really wet. We can't complain. Isaah took his chipmunk trap that him and grandpa had made and caught chipmunks and birds. Everyone thought that was fun.
Besides the rain the only bad luck we had was on the way home. We knew our truck's air conditioner was having problems on the way up but when we got ready to leave the truck started having real problems. My parents followed us to Salina where we ate lunch and then the truck decieded it had enough. So my mom and I stayed at a little grassy park with trees and picnic tables for about 4 hours with the kids while my dad and Chad ran back and forth between Richfield and Salina with belts, trying to get one to work. Finally they got it working and we were on our way (though they had to bypass the airconditioner so it was a little warm). We made it home and my parents had a blow out on the trailer about 20 mins before they were home. Jody and Colby sailed right on home with no problems. It was very pretty there and we had alot of fun! (you can view some of Jody's pict on her blog) Just run your mouse over the pictures to read the caption.
