Princess Madilyn

Madilyn NOW (picture of her dance recital in June 07)

Madilyn THEN, eating chocolate when she was about 7 months old. My how she has changed.

As a 5 year old kindergartener learning to read she likes:

  • Fruit
  • Playing with Friends
  • Hannah Montana
  • The snow
  • The colors Pink & Purple & Blue
  • Changing her clothes (somedays I have seen her in about 6 different outfits)

From the beginning we called her Princess, and we still call her Princess Madilyn and she loves it, especially when her dad calls her that. Madi is eager to help me, especially using the sweeper vacuum. Talli & Paige adore her and love to play with her, which she enjoys doing after school. She has recently learned to ride her bike without training wheels and enjoys going on bike rides. Madi enjoys singing, but she has a bit of a shy personality and struggles doing it in front of others. She has her own funny words for things that Chad and I get a kick out of such as a "cold brain" for a brain freeze and a "britch" for a bridge. No matter how mean somebody is to her she will still love them unconditionaly. She trully has a sweet heart and thinks of others often. She loves everyone and has many best friends and even has chosen the one she's going to marry. One thing she does not like to do though is to walk when we are at a store. She wants to ride in a cart, actually she would just prefer to stay home and not do errands.

We love Madi! I love when I call and she is just so happy to talk and talk and talk to me. I will ask her what she's doing and she will tell me "just walking around". Madi you're a sweatheart!

Brandi,
I am sad to hear that little girls never grow out of changing clothes six, seven, or even eight times a day. Esperanza loves to see how many "princess" dresses she can wear in one day. I thought it was a phase. Madi sure does look like a princess. When Esperanza saw the dance picture she thought Madi was so beautiful.
